This makes worm gear transmission suitable for occasions requiring high torque and low speed, while gear transmission is suitable for occasions requiring medium and low torque and high speed.

  Smooth transmission: The worm gear of worm gear transmission is a continuous and uninterrupted helical gear, which meshes continuously with the worm wheel gear, so the operation is smooth, and the impact, vibration, and noise are relatively small.

  1. Archimedes is a common worm gear tooth profile, which has advantages such as simple structure, low processing difficulty, low noise, and easy installation compared to other worm gear tooth profiles.

  2. Secondary involute worm gears generally require special machine tools for production and matching hobbing cutters for hobbing. The load-carrying capacity is 3-5 times that of other straight-toothed worm gears of the same specifications (depending on the actual number of involute teeth). It has advantages such as high conversion rate and long service life, and has a self-locking function. The disadvantage is that due to the increased number of contact teeth, the noise and temperature will increase accordingly. The actual use environment should be considered during design.

  3. Double lead worm gear is similar to ordinary ZA worm gear. The tooth thickness changes gradually in the normal direction. During assembly, the clearance can be controlled to improve transmission accuracy. During use, the worm gear position can be adjusted to compensate for wear clearance, maintain accuracy to a certain extent, and improve service life.
