The machine features excellent overall rigidity and convenient operation, meeting the batch and small-batch production requirements of industries such as machinery manufacturing, reducer production, instrumentation, and light industry machinery. It can stably machine worm workpieces of various specifications and tooth profiles, balancing machining accuracy and production efficiency to fulfill the core requirements of worm machining in industrial production.
II. Core Technical Parameters
| Technical Parameter | Unit | Data | Parameter Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Machining Worm Center Distance | mm | 10-200 | Defines the center distance range of worm gear pairs machinable by the machine, a core basic parameter for worm machining, suitable for small and medium-sized worm specifications |
| Maximum Workpiece Length | mm | 1000 | The maximum axial length of worm workpieces that can be clamped and machined by the machine, determining the dimensional upper limit of workpiece machining |
| Maximum Tool Linear Speed | m/s | 50 | The maximum allowable cutting linear speed of the tool, which directly affects machining efficiency, tool service life, and workpiece surface roughness |
| Cutter Head Diameter | mm | 230 | The nominal diameter of the machine cutter head, determining the maximum size of installable tools, machining range, and cutter head rigidity |
| Tool Motor Power | Kw | 12 | The rated power of the motor driving tool movement, determining the machine's cutting load capacity, machining material range, and machining stability |
| Machine Center Height | mm | 1300 | The vertical height from the machine spindle center to the installation base (ground), affecting the machine's installation layout, operation convenience, and tooling adaptability |
| Tool Turret (B-axis) Rotation Angle | - | ±25° | The rotation range of the tool turret rotation axis, used for adjusting tool angles and machining special-tooth-profile worms to enhance machining flexibility |
| Height of Tool Table from Workpiece Spindle Center | mm | 395 | The vertical height difference between the center of the tool installation table and the workpiece spindle center, an important reference for tool alignment and tooling fixture design |
| Workpiece Spindle Taper Hole | - | Morse No.5 | A standard interface at the spindle end for installing tools such as centers and arbors, featuring good self-locking performance and high positioning accuracy |
III. Performance Characteristics of the Machine Tool
1.Wide Machining Range and Strong Adaptability
The machine covers a worm center distance range of 10-200 mm and a maximum workpiece length of up to 1000 mm. It can accurately machine various tooth profile workpieces including small and medium-sized cylindrical worms, non-straight worms, and arc-tooth worms. It is suitable for various common worm products such as reducer worms, transmission worms, and precision instrumentation worms, meeting the machining needs of different industries.
- High Machining Efficiency and Excellent Stability
Equipped with a 12kW high-power tool motor, the machine delivers strong power output and can drive the tool to achieve high-speed cutting at 50 m/s, greatly improving machining efficiency. The machine adopts a reasonable overall rigid design, and the cutter head with a diameter of 230 mm ensures stability during the cutting process, reduces the impact of vibration on machining accuracy, and extends the service life of tools.
- High Positioning Accuracy and Superior Machining Quality
The workpiece spindle adopts a Morse No.5 taper hole design, featuring high positioning accuracy and firm clamping, which effectively avoids machining errors caused by loose clamping. The tool turret (B-axis) can achieve precise rotation of ±25°, enabling flexible adjustment of tool angles to complete the correction and machining of special tooth profiles, and ensuring that the worm tooth profile accuracy and dimensional accuracy conform to industry standards.
- Convenient Operation and Simple Maintenance
The machine is designed with a center height of 1300 mm and a height of 395 mm from the tool table to the workpiece spindle center, which complies with the operating height of conventional industrial machine tools and improves the operation comfort of operators. Key components adopt a simple structural design, and daily maintenance focuses on basic operations such as taper hole cleaning and B-axis rotation mechanism lubrication, with low maintenance costs, convenience and high efficiency.
IV. Application Scenarios
This compound grinding machine is mainly applicable to industries such as machinery manufacturing, reducer production, instrumentation, and light industry machinery. It can be used for machining various small and medium-sized precision worms and general-purpose worms. It not only meets the efficiency requirements of batch production but also adapts to the customized machining needs of small batches and multiple specifications, making it an ideal equipment for worm machining in small and medium-sized enterprises.
V. Notes for Use
- During machining, the tool linear speed must be strictly controlled and shall not exceed 50 m/s to avoid excessive tool wear, deterioration of workpiece surface quality, and safety accidents. Sufficient cutting fluid shall be provided for cooling and lubrication during machining.
- Regularly clean the Morse No.5 taper hole of the workpiece spindle to ensure the fitting accuracy of the taper surface and prevent clamping looseness from affecting machining accuracy; ensure that the tooling is installed in place and fastened reliably during clamping.
- Regularly inspect and maintain the tool turret (B-axis) rotation mechanism, add lubricating grease to ensure rotation accuracy and stability, and guarantee the accuracy of special tooth profile machining.
- When installing the machine, reasonably plan the workshop layout in combination with the center height parameters, reserve sufficient operating space to ensure the safety and convenience of the machining process; regularly calibrate the entire machine to ensure the stability of various parameters.
VI. Equipment Maintenance and Care
- Daily Maintenance: Check tool wear and cutting fluid level before daily startup, and clean the machine table and spindle taper hole; clean iron filings and debris on the machine surface, and turn off the power and cutting fluid switch after shutdown.
- Scheduled Maintenance: Inspect the B-axis rotation mechanism and tool motor weekly and add lubricating grease; calibrate the spindle accuracy and tool turret rotation accuracy monthly; conduct a comprehensive inspection of the machine's electrical system and transmission system quarterly to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
- Long-term Storage: If the machine is not in use for a long time, clean all components of the equipment, apply anti-rust oil, remove and store tools properly, turn off the power supply, and take moisture-proof and dust-proof measures.
